Reid is Faculty's new chief executive

The Faculty of Advocates has appointed Iain Reid as its chief executive. 

Mr Reid has both legal and accountancy qualifications and experience in a wide range of organisations, including Scottish Widows, Newell & Budge Ltd and the National Trust for Scotland.

He will take responsibility for both the Faculty and Faculty Services Ltd, the company which provides administrative and other support services for advocates.

Mr Reid commented: "I am delighted to have joined such a highly regarded organisation and look forward to contributing to the continued development of the Faculty over the coming years."
