Revenue up but profits down at Digby Brown

Turnover rose but profits fell in Digby Brown's last financial year, its results for 2016-17 show.

Revenue at the specialist personal injury legal firm for the year to 31 March 2017 was up 5% from £27.3m to £28.7m, largely due to an increased contribution from its Compensate litigation funding arm. Profits however dipped by 3.5% from £8.6m to £8.3m.

The firm said it had been another year in which it had continued to grow and had recovered a record level of damages for its clients across Scotland – more than £115m in awards. 

It now has more than 280 staff across its seven offices.
