Senior solicitor promotions at Gibson Kerr

5th July 2017 | careers

Edinburgh and Glasgow legal firm Gibson Kerr has announced the promotion of two of its team to senior solicitor, both in the Edinburgh office.

Hazel McLauchlan, a solicitor in the family law department since March 2015, specialises in financial provision on divorce, pre- and postnuptial agreements, cohabitation cases, child contact and residence disputes. She is currently training in collaborative divorce.

Stuart Millar works alongside partner Lindsay Maclean in the personal law department, specialising in providing wills, administration of estates, powers of attorney, guardianship and tax and trust advice. After joining the firm in October 2014, he began studying towards the STEP Diploma for Scotland, receiving his diploma with distinction in 2016.

Fiona Rasmusen, partner and head of Gibson Kerr commented: “The promotions are richly deserved and reflect the hard work and dedication Hazel and Stuart have shown to their work.

"Both lawyers have developed significant expertise in their fields, as well as building a great rapport with our clients. They are a tremendous asset to Gibson Kerr.”
