The Journal would greatly appreciate it if readers who are solicitors, whether or not in practice, or trainees, can complete this year's employment survey – at surveymonkey.co.uk/r/JJMSNL7

Covering pay, benefits, working hours, strss, business prospects (including Brexit) and more, results from the survey will be reported in the December magazine.

Where does the pay gap stand? How does career progression compare between genders? These are among the questions we hope to cover.

The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. It closes at 5pm on Monday 21 November.
