Three Scots among CMS global partner promotion round

1st May 2017 | careers

Three Scottish based solicitors are among a total of 48 made up to partner globally at international law firm CMS.

Amy Norton and Duncan Turner in Edinburgh, and Kirsten Partridge in the Glasgow office, all achieve their new status from today (1 May), as CMS completes its three way merger with law firms Nabarro and Olswang.

Ms Norton, who came to legacy firm Dundas & Wilson as an assistant in 2007, and Ms Partridge, who began there as a trainee in 2008, both work in real estate; Mr Turner joined the technology, media and telecommunications team in 2015 from Dickson Minto.

Caryn Penley, CMS managing partner in Scotland, commented: "These promotions underline the growth of CMS in Scotland and further demonstrate the opportunities for our Scottish-based colleagues to progress within the firm.

"Three years from the combination of Dundas & Wilson & CMS, our people continue to benefit from the strength and depth that comes with being part of a global firm focused on the needs of the local market place."
