Three speakers confirmed for SYLA's "Women in Law" event

17th February 2017

Three key panel members have been named for this year's "Women in Law" event, run by the Scottish Young Lawyers' Association.

Dr Olivia Giles OBE, founder of 500 Miles, Angela Grahame QC, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Advocates, and Philippa Greer, associate legal officer at the United Nations, will feature at the annual event which brings together a number of high profile and inspiring women from the Scottish legal community.

Speakers share their personal experiences and their views on issues such as women's rights in the UK and international context, women in the judiciary and boardroom, and whether the glass ceiling remains an issue for female lawyers in the 21st Century.

The event will be on Tuesday, 21 March 2017 at The Principal Edinburgh George Street (formerly The George Hotel), 19-21 George Street, Edinburgh EH2 2PB, from 6.30 until 8pm (registration from 6pm). A drinks reception with canapés will follow.

Tickets are priced at £5 and all funds raised will be donated directly to Scottish Women’s Aid. Click here to book a place.
