Two family law specialists join Morton Fraser

15th December 2015 | careers

Two accredited family law specialists are joining Morton Fraser as consultant and associate in its family law team in Edinburgh and Glasgow respectively.

New consultant Savita Sharma is moving from England where she has practised England for more than 10 years. She has particular expertise in divorce and complex financial issues, but also specialises in child-related issues including international child abduction.

Marisa Cullen, who joins as an associate from Wright & Crawford in Paisley, specialises in international child abduction cases. She has authored numerous articles for the Scottish Child Law Centre and has also lectured on the subject, as well as receiving direct referrals from the Scottish Government in this area.

Ms Sharma is an advanced member of the Law Society of England & Wales and a member of the Child Abduction Lawyers Association; Ms Cullen is a member of the Law Society of Scotland's Family Law Subcommittee.

Rhona Adams, head of family law at Morton Fraser, commented: “Appointing Savita and Marisa is part of our ongoing growth strategy to provide clients and their families with the widest range of services available in Scotland from lawyers who are all at the top level. Marisa and Savita bring great pedigree in a highly specialised subject matter and we are delighted to have them both on board.”
