Two longserving Thorntons Arbroath solicitors retire

4th June 2019 | careers

Two longserving solicitors in the Land & Rural Business law team at Thorntons' Arbroath office have retired following a combined 82 years’ service.

Partner George Dunlop and associate David Dundas both marked their retirement this month.

Mr Dunlop joined the firm in 1975 and built a loyal client base advising on private client, agricultural and property matters. Mr Dundas joined Thorntons in 1981 and has specialised in agricultural land transactions.

Mr Dunlop commented: “It feels like the end of an era but I’d like to thank all my clients and colleagues from over the years. It’s been a pleasure working with you all and I trust my clients will be looked after by the very capable and talented team at Thorntons.”

Colin Graham, chairman at Thorntons, added: “George and David have been integral members of the team in Arbroath but they leave behind a highly skilled team where clients will be in safe hands. We would like to wish them both a very happy and well deserved retirement.”
