Two new Registers e-forms available to trial

25th November 2014 | commercial property , property (non-commercial)

Two key documents from Registers of Scotland to support the switchover to the Land Registration etc (Scotland) Act 2012 have been placed online, to allow trial in advance of the designated day, Monday 8 December.

The electronic version of the 2012 Act application form, and the advance notice, are now on Registers' eServices portal. While customers will not be able to submit a 2012 Act e-form or advance notice for processing until the designated day, the eServices portal update provides the opportunity to review and integrate each process into practice across organisations.

If the 2012 Act applicaiton form is completed online, the Registers portal will guide users through each question, to ensure only relevant parts of the application are completed. The e-form will also highlight areas which require completion before it can be submitted. Further guidance for application forms is available at www.ros.gov.uk/2012act/guidance_app.html.

An advance notice provides protection for a deed between two named parties intended to be registered. Further guidance for advance notices is available at www.ros.gov.uk/2012act/guidance_an.html.

Users are advised that while the existing URL for the eServices portal remains the same, eservices.ros.gov.uk, with access using an existing username and password, if the address has previously been bookmarked they should remove the "/pfsi" and any other text that follows it, then refresh the page to be taken to the new portal.

For any further assistance, contact the RoS eServices team at: eServices@ros.gov.uk, or call 0800 028 9296.
