Two partner promotions at Shepherd & Wedderburn

3rd December 2015 | careers

Scottish based law firm Shepherd & Wedderburn has taken its partner total to 80 with two promotions announced today.

Katie Russell in the employment team, and Caroline Shand in real estate and infrastructure, have both been advanced.

Trained at Shepherd & Wedderburn, Ms Russell spent over six years working in the City of London before returning to the firm three years ago. Dual qualified, she supports clients on employment matters across the UK and globally for clients who have an international or mobile workforce. She sits on the firm’s international committee and is also an author and editor of cross-border publications.

Ms Shand joined Shepherd and Wedderburn through the firm’s acquisition of Tods Murray last October. She advises on all aspects of real estate matters, with particular expertise in institutional investment, commercial development, landlord and tenant matters and property financing. Also dual qualified, she regularly works on the Scottish side of cross-border portfolio acquisitions and financing deals alongside English lead counsel.

Chief executive Stephen Gibb said: “Katie and Caroline have excellent reputations in their areas of expertise and an unwavering commitment to our clients. As partners they will continue to strengthen their respective practice areas and contribute to the strong growth the firm has been achieving.”
