Two partners head promotions round at Anderson Strathern

9th October 2017 | careers

Two new partners have been announced by legal firm Anderson Strathern at the head of a total of 11 promotions across various teams.

Fiona McKinnon moves up to partner level in the firm’s commercial real estate practice. A specialist in retail, development and investment work, she has a particular focus on the petroleum sector and regeneration projects. Joining her is Robin Beattie in the rural land and business team. His specialism is the acquisition, sale and management of estates, farms, forestry, development sites, renewable energy projects, sporting rights and minerals.

The nine other promotions include two new senior associates: Ann-Marie Chalmers (dispute resolution) and Lesley Fitzgerald (commercial real estate); one new associate: David Coutts (dispute resolution – family law); and five new senior solicitors: Kirsty Jamieson (corporate), Russell Laughland and Robert McNab (both private client), Stephen Moffat (dispute resolution), and Sophia Warriner-Gallyer (commercial real estate).

Murray McCall, who was recently reappointed as the firm’s managing partner, commented: "After investing in our people, mergers, technology and lateral hires last year, we’re continuing to invest in our team through internal promotions and more lateral hires in 2017 and it’s encouraging to see the growth coming through as we approach the end of the year."
