Andrew Laing
Andrew Laing joined COPFS as a trainee in 1991. He has practised within five of the six sheriffdoms across Scotland as a public prosecutor. Andrew currently heads the National Initial Case Processing unit in COPFS dealing with 3,000 criminal cases received weekly. He also leads for COPFS in the Digital Evidence Sharing Capability (DESC) Programme and is an Advocacy Trainer. Andrew is the champion for Health and Wellbeing within COPFS and is a member of the Law Society Wellbeing Steering Group.
