Dawn McAra-Hunter

Dawn McAra-Hunter is the Programme Manager at the Scottish AI Alliance, the body tasked with the delivery of Scotland’s national AI strategy. In her role, Dawn leads on programmes focused on realising the Strategy vision to make Scotland a leader in Trustworthy, Ethical and Inclusive AI, with particular focus on AI literacy, skills, and business support. Alongside this, Dawn is a PhD candidate at the University of the West of Scotland, where her research examines the impact of AI discourse on marginalised people, particularly the LGBTQ+ community, and has recently been published in AI and Ethics (Spring) and Improving and Enhancing Scenario Planning (Edward Elgar).
