Eilish Lindsay

Eilish called to the bar in 2023. Prior to calling, Eilish gained 8 years of experience as a solicitor. She worked at a large litigation firm and gained experience in a wide array of personal injury work, including occupiers’ liability, public liability, road traffic accidents, criminal injuries, and employment accidents. In addition, she also dealt with claims arising out of clinical negligence and has experience in industrial disease cases, including asbestos; hearing loss; and HAVS.

As a solicitor, Eilish regularly appeared in Sheriff Courts and the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court. She would also deal with complex personal injury actions in the Court of Session.

Eilish’s practice also includes fatal accident inquiries, public inquiries, crime and regulatory work. She has appeared before the Traffic Commissioner, the Criminal Injuries Compensation First-tier Tribunal and in summary criminal matters. Eilish has been involved in a number of lengthy fatal accident inquiries, representing both the family of the deceased and also acting on behalf of other interested parties. She was also involved in the UK Infected Blood Inquiry, acting on behalf of a large number of core participants.
In addition to her work as a solicitor, Eilish is a committee member and company secretary of Headway Dundee and Angus. The charity assist survivors of brain injury with re-integration into the community and provide a social outlet. Eilish provides them with assistance with business development.

Eilish is a tutor at the University of Edinburgh in Criminal Law (ordinary) and Evidence (ordinary) on the undergraduate. In addition, she is also teaching Civil Court Practice on the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice.
