I’m Emma. I’m the Client Engagement Director at Think, but my background is in (award-winning) print and digital content. Now I’m responsible for all aspects of the Journal and the relationship between us as a content marketing agency, the Society and you, its members. Whether it’s working with the Editor, Rebecca, on the content and the direction in which we’re wanting to take it, the metrics around its engagement, or the revenue and commercial avenues for growth, the success of this brand-new era for the Journal falls firmly on my shoulders and I couldn’t be more excited.
We might have launched with a different editorial approach (more commentary and analysis, less news) and new-look webpages, but we’re working on an exciting new chapter for the Journal hub design. ‘Contemporary’, ‘engaging’ and ‘interesting’ are just three of the adjectives I’d use to describe it. We want to improve your user journey and your experience on the site.
We want to create content that’s tailored to your interests, in a format you find most appealing, at a time you want to consume it. We hope you’ll engage with us in the process too. If you like what you see, then tell us; if you think it could be improved, then tell us too.
The days of just long-form articles are gone. We’re going digital presence, not just digital publication. It’s the time to be listening to an interview, watching a report’s findings come to life on screen, and engaging with us and colleagues on socials.
