Hannah Coleman

Hannah is an established leader and senior lawyer with significant experience in the public sector across a range of legal disciplines. Hannah spent seven years working in the fitness to practise department and leading a multi-disciplinary team regulating the social services workforce and dealing with complex investigations, hearings and appeals on a range of regulatory matters. Hannah currently heads up the Regulatory Improvement and Hearings Team where she has an innovative approach to access to justice for registrants going through the regulatory process. Most notably she was responsible for the SSSC leading the way in introducing virtual hearings which meant we could continue allowing access to justice during the recent pandemic. Hannah has lead a restructure within the Regulation Directorate to lead on the improvement of proportionate regulation.
