Jennifer Malcolm

Lead Legal Counsel
BayWa r.e, Global

Jennifer is Head of Legal, Offshore Wind at global renewable energy developer, BayWa r.e. where she is responsible for the legal aspects of all BayWa r.e.’s offshore wind development activities globally.  This ranges from working on offshore wind auctions across the world, M&A transactions, joint ventures, greenfield development (developing projects from scratch), to patent applications for new technology. 

Before joining BayWa r.e., Jennifer was a director at Pinsent Masons where she specialised in M&A, private equity and capital markets transactions with a focus on the energy and technology sectors.  At Pinsent Masons, Jennifer undertook to secondments to the Royal Bank of Scotland’s corporate group legal team, to Cenkos Securities plc’s (now Cavendish) corporate finance team and to Fidal law firm in Brussels (anti-trust).  

Jennifer joined the in-house lawyers’ committee in April 2023.

Legal foundations: In-house early career roundtable

An opportunity for in-house solicitors in the first few years post-qualification to come together and talk openly about their early experiences in the profession. This online session is targeted at in-house NQs and provides an opportunity to exchange ideas, reflect on the transition into qualified practice, and discuss career ambitions, challenges, and wellbeing.
