Jodie McVicar

National Training Manager
Scottish Women's Aid

Jodie McVicar is Scottish Women’s Aid’s National Training Manager, having previously worked in Women’s Aid refuges and also within the Scottish Safeguarder Panel Team.  Jodie designs and delivers bespoke domestic abuse training nationally, both digitally and in person.  She has a great interest in equalities, having campaigned, consulted on and supported implementation of various equalities legislation over the last 15 years, with eradicating domestic abuse and the impact it has on women and children a passion she has highlighted throughout this time. Jodie also has an extensive training background, based on upskilling service providers and supporting improved practice based on survivor led research, and is a Safe & Together accredited trainer.
