Linda Walker
Linda Walker is passionate about helping clients navigate their family law issues in the most positive way possible.
She regularly advises on divorce and financial provision, cohabitation, child residence and contact, child abduction, child relocation, maintenance as well as measures for those in the early stages of their relationships such as pre-nuptial agreements or cohabitation agreements. She appears regularly in the Sheriff Court and regularly instructs Counsel in the Court of Session and can provide advice and representation when court is the best course of action.
Linda has significant experience in international and cross-border cases both in relation to children’s care and relocation or child abduction, and in relation to divorce. She has built relationships with solicitors in other jurisdictions which help to smooth the process.
Practised exclusively in the area of family law since 2014, prior to which she undertook a wide variety of litigation after qualifying in 2006. She is experienced in all areas of family law and has achieved two accreditations from the Law Society of Scotland: in Family Law and in Family Mediation.
Linda is trained as a collaborative lawyer and is a member of CALM, the Family Law Association and Consensus. She volunteers as a solicitor for the Scottish Child Law Centre and often contributes to articles for various publications such as Greens Family Law Bulletin, Scots Law Times, the Scottish Legal News and The Scotsman.
