Matthew Thomson

Client Executive
Lockton

Matthew leads the risk management work for the Master Policy Practice Management Team at Lockton and also deals with all aspects of client service. He is responsible for delivering risk management information and support to individual clients and to the profession as a whole. Since joining Lockton in 2018 he has introduced a range of risk management resources for solicitor clients.

Matthew has extensive experience of dealing with legal practice issues and steering solicitors through complex risk management questions. After qualifying as a solicitor in 2006, Matthew worked in private practice before joining the Law Society of Scotland in 2011. At the Law Society, Matthew was in the Professional Practice Team, advising and supporting members on practice and ethical matters. At Lockton, Matthew is able to combine his knowledge of professional practice issues with an analysis of Master Policy claims to produce exceptional risk management materials.
