Michael Ross

Director
Anderson Strathern

Specialising in the practical application of Economic Crime Legislation, Mike focuses on helping regulated firms understand how to deliver practical and proportionate measures to comply.  Mike works within the Risk and Compliance team at the firm and provides day to day support to clients and Solicitors.

Mike has worked in various economic crime roles since joining the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2010, overseeing various regulatory projects and remediation programmes.  He has a keen interest in harnessing the power of automation and artificial intelligence to reduce the burden of compliance.  The most rewarding part of his role is helping others untangle regulatory compliance challenges simply.

Outside of work Mike is passionate about supporting young people.  He was formerly a member of the Glasgow charity board of NSPCC Scotland and served as part of the children’s hearings service for nine years.  He is actively looking for a new role but admits he is enjoying focusing his time of his two young children.
