In early 2013, he qualified as a civil Solicitor Advocate with extended rights of audience in the Court of Session and the Supreme Court. However, Bobby had a strong desire to practice law in his local community and joined McGovern Reid to concentrate on criminal defence work, road traffic law and Children’s Panel cases. Bobby combines his confident, robust and professional courtroom style, his obvious local knowledge with a friendly and approachable manner to ensure that he achieves the best results possible for the firm’s clients.

Bobby was assumed Partner in the Firm in 2018.
