Ravinder Panesar

Wellbeing and Engagement Manager
Law Society of Scotland

Bringing nearly twenty years' experience in the higher education sector, Rav Panesar joined the Law Society in August 2025 as Wellbeing and Engagement Manager, sitting in the Careers and Outreach team. Rav's background (at Universities of Edinburgh and Leeds) includes supporting and enabling students to thrive and developing partnerships and collaborative networks with staff and students in the universities and with other higher education institutions. She has extensive experience in leading collective efforts to enable successful student transitions into university across a broad range of aspects of their progression.

At the Law Society of Scotland, Rav leads LawScot Wellbeing. She engages with the profession to promote the support of mental health and wellbeing, empowering members to recognise and prioritise their wellbeing and that of their colleagues for a healthier, more balanced career. Rav also works with the Careers and Outreach team to support and enrich the careers of future lawyers, law students and trainees through the provision of talks and one-to-one guidance.
