In 2016 we established the Lawscot Foundation, a charity which will help academically talented students from less advantaged backgrounds in Scotland through their legal education journey.

The Lawscot Foundation offers financial assistance, mentoring and other support to students during the law degree (LLB) stage, right through the diploma in professional legal practice.

We also support the bright legal stars of the future by providing mentoring throughout their legal education from an experienced Scottish solicitor to help enhance the student’s confidence, skills and knowledge.

The response from the legal community has been really supportive, which shows just how committed we are as a profession to ensuring fair access. We believe that every young person should have the same opportunity to become a solicitor.

Lawscot Foundation ‘Pass the Parcel’ campaign to raise money for less-advantaged law students

This Christmas we are inviting you to take part in our very own festive game of pass the parcel...with a twist! We're asking you to help support the Lawscot Foundation by making a donation and nominating or "passing the parcel" to someone else to do the same - and in doing so, you might even win a prize! In doing so, you're helping to spread the gift of university education to talented students from less-advantaged backgrounds, aiming to be the legal stars of tomorrow.
