Workplace culture recognised with Gold accreditation

5th June 2024 | Law Society news

The Law Society of Scotland’s commitment to its people and workplace culture has been recognised with an Investors in People Gold accreditation.

The rating from the global workplace assessment organisation recognises improvements in company culture, engagement and workplace practices and builds upon the Law Society’s previous Silver Investors in People accreditation.

Law Society of Scotland Chief Executive Diane McGiffen said: “It’s people who make the Law Society, so we’re delighted to have achieved this Gold accreditation from Investors in People. We support and invest in our colleagues because they are central to everything we do.

“Investors in People provides an independent perspective of how we are doing and allows us to benchmark against the best in the world. The gold award has been achieved just a few months after we were accredited as a Leader in Diversity. It’s a real testament to our colleagues and the improvements they’ve been working on, including our recently launched people strategy.

“We’ll be using the assessment and feedback to see how we can do even better.”

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate The Law Society of Scotland. Gold accreditation on We Invest in People is a fantastic effort for any organisation, and places the Law Society in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”
