Cullen Kilshaw and JD Clark & Allan join forces

7th November 2023 | practice management

Borders legal practices Cullen Kilshaw LLP and JD Clark & Allan have announced their "assimilation" from 1 December 2023.

The combined firm will continue to trade under the name of Cullen Kilshaw LLP. JD Clark & Allan's office in Duns Market Square will remain open and will operate as a branch of Cullen Kilshaw.

Cullen Kilshaw has expanded significantly over recent years and now has offices in Galashiels, Hawick, Jedburgh, Kelso, Melrose, Peebles, and Selkirk in the Borders area, along with Annan and Langholm in Dumfries & Galloway.

JD Clark & Allan was founded in 1932 by James Duncan Clark and has a broad general civil practice in the Duns and Berwickshire areas.

Ross Kilshaw, partner at Cullen Kilshaw, commented: "We are very excited about this assimilation, which will strengthen our position as the leading solicitor estate agents in the Scottish Borders. We have always admired the work of JD Clark & Allan and we are looking forward to welcoming their staff and clients to our firm, and to continuing their proud legacy in the town of Duns. We believe that by combining our resources and expertise, we will be able to offer an even better service to existing, and new, clients in the Duns area."

Amy Dickson, director at JD Clark & Allan, added: “We are delighted to join forces with Cullen Kilshaw, a firm that shares our values and vision. Our firm has been serving the people of Berwickshire and beyond for generations and we are confident that this assimilation will ensure the continuity and quality of our services."
