UK legal firm TLT has announced the promotion of five lawyers to partner as from 1 May 2021, including Glasgow-based financial services disputes lawyer Louise Chopra.
Ms Chopra specialises in complex banking disputes and commercial contractual disputes.
Four of the five promoted are women, in line with the firm’s commitment to improving gender diversity in senior positions.
In addition Lucy Harrington, a property and commercial contract litigator based in TLT's Glasgow office, has been promoted to legal director, one of 11 such promotions across the firm. Seventeen lawyers have been promoted to associate.
John Paul Sheridan, partner and Scotland location head, commented: "I am pleased that we can celebrate the success of a number of our talented colleagues across the firm following an unpredictable and unprecedented 12 months. We are an ambitious firm with exciting plans for our people and our clients, and investing in our people is a key part of delivering against those objectives and crucial to our future success in Scotland.
"These promotions recognise the contribution our people continue to make to the development of the firm in Scotland as we continue to find new ways to meet our clients’ evolving needs."
