Law At Work acquired by UK compliance group
Law At Work, the Glasgow based employment law, HR and health and safety advisers, has been bought by UK health and safety compliance firm Marlowe plc.
Marlowe, a London Stock Exchange (AIM listed) company, is paying an initial £6.3m for a business that reported turnover of £5.5m and pre-tax profit of £5.5m in the year to 31 May 2019. The consideration could rise to over £10m if profit targets for the next three years are met.
Law At Work said the transaction would have no impact on the day-to-day service to clients, with all 70 staff across its four offices remaining within the company.
Its senior management team will also remain in place and it will continue to operate under the Law At Work brand.
"This is an exciting new chapter for Law At Work, and one which we have entered into with our staff and clients at the forefront of our decision-making. In addition to potentially providing clients with access to a wider range of expert advisors, the partnership will also enable us to offer an increased range of services", it said in a statement posted to its website.
