Two partners head promotions round at Balfour+Manson

11th October 2023 | careers

Legal firm Balfour+Manson has announced three senior promotions in its Edinburgh and Aberdeen offices, two of them to partner.

In Edinburgh, Peter Littlefair and Will Wallace have been promoted to partner, while in Aberdeen, Sophie Pike becomes a senior associate. Eight other solicitors have been recognised with the newly created role of senior solicitor.

Mr Littlefair joined Balfour+Manson in 2019 as an associate specialising in litigation. He specialises in personal injury cases including industrial diseases and medical negligence claims.

Mr Wallace, who joined the firm in 2021, specialises in residential conveyancing, also working in commercial property transactions.

Ms Pike joined the Family team at Balfour+Manson in 2016 and deals mainly with child contact, adoption, interdict and complex cohabitation and divorce actions.

Five solicitors in Edinburgh and three in Aberdeen have been promoted to senior solicitor: in Edinburgh, Alannah Jones (Medical Negligence), Kenzie Howard (Employment), Martin Lavery (Private Client), and Donde Thiam and Emily Deans (both Family Law); and in Aberdeen, Katie Albiston (Family Law), and Iona Campbell and Diana MacKenzie (both Personal Injury).

Elaine Motion, chairman of Balfour+Manson commented: “The wide range of specialisms in this latest round of promotions showcases the breadth of expertise and consistent excellence of service both our Edinburgh and Aberdeen teams deliver. We are immensely proud to be awarding so many well deserved promotions as we continue to develop the skills and careers of our young talented staff.

“I would like to congratulate everyone who has been promoted and thank them for their continuing hard work and dedication.”
