Our work on adult capacity

Our policy team and our network of expert volunteers work to influence policy and shape good incapacity, mental health, and adult support and protection law in Scotland. We seek to influence changes to legislation and the operation of our justice system as part of our work towards a fairer and more just society.

Advance choices and medical decision making report

A working group of legal experts, medical practitioners and academics have authored a report, to highlight deficiencies in the law around advance choices and medical decision making and make recommendations for legislative solutions.
