With the Beckhams making headlines due to Brooklyn’s separation from the family and “brand”, it provides the opportunity to reflect on the Scottish laws and practices that govern the dissolution of family relationships.

Our expert speaker will analyse what it means for a family to have a brand or wealthy assets and what happens when family relationships then proceed to breakdown. You will learn how clients can protect their assets and business to pre-empt a falling out, and remedies for when communication failures do occur. Case studies will be utilised and time will be allocated for questions and discussion with the speaker.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Discover the legal complications that occur when a relationship breaks down in wealthy families
  • Learn the safeguards families can put in place to protect their business or brand from an internal breakdown
  • Explore the remedies that are available for businesses and brands when there is a dispute in the family
