Watch our hour-long lunch and learn session providing an update on the legal rights of cohabitees and their occupancy rights.

Led by Karen Wylie, discussion will focus on the recent decision by the Sheriff Appeal Court on McBride v McInnes which was found in favour of Karen Wylie’s client.

The conversation will start with a broad overview of cohabitee occupancy rights, and then it will focus on the specific case and the new precedent that was created in relation to s18(1) of the Matrimonial Homes (Scotland) Act 1981.

The session will provide invaluable insider insight from the appellant's legal representation.
