As we face an aging population, elderly clients are becoming much more common. This increase in elderly clients also produces an increase in certain vulnerabilities you must be aware of as their lawyer. This one-hour webinar will deep dive into financial abuse and undue influence so that you can recognise and respond to it in your clients.

Julie Millen, Partner at Millen Solicitors, will outline the parameters for what constitutes financial abuse and undue influence, provide the key signs and risk factors to look for, and provide practical guidance on what to do if financial abuse or undue influence is taking place.

Learning outcomes:

  • Discover how the elderly can be susceptible to financial abuse or undue influence and the current legal protections for them

  •  Gain insight into the key signs to look for when assessing for financial abuse or undue influence

  •  Learn tools you can use if faced with one of these situations
