Join us for the first in our new series of webinars specifically dedicated to AI and the Law.

Focused on the basics, this two-hour webinar will get into the minutiae of what AI is, how to distinguish between different types of AI based on functionality, and the legal frameworks that currently exist to govern its use and application. A variety of statutes and treaties will be considered from the Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence, to the well-known General Data Protection Regulations, and Labour’s proposed Artificial Intelligence (Regulation and Workers’ Rights) Bill. Whether this is your first time interacting with AI or you are a long-time user, this webinar is sure to give you the essential foundations through which you can confidently discuss and select AI programs you would like to implement.

Learning outcomes:

  • Distinguish between the different types of AI, what they mean in practice, and what functions they entail
  • Gain deeper insight into the most common forms of AI you find in offices
  • Learn the different legal frameworks that currently govern the use of AI
  • Gain insight into what your organisation should be doing with the incorporation of their AI to comply with these existing legal frameworks
  • Discuss what further frameworks we need to be developing
