Join us in July for our lunch time webinar on powers of attorney. This online session is ideal for those who are looking for an introduction or refresher on this topic.

Led by Sandra McDonald, former Public Guardian for Scotland, this interactive seminar will guide you through the foundational aspects of dealing with clients requiring powers of attorney; offer guidance on preparing for interviews with vulnerable clients; and lead you through the process of drafting a Power of Attorney.

This webinar will also provide a comprehensive overview into broader considerations surrounding adults with incapacity, statement of wishes and advanced choice, ensuring you are well equipped to navigate this important area of law.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understanding powers of attorney
  • Learn how to develop interview techniques with granters to understand their wishes in line with LSS Vulnerable Client Guidance
  • Introduction to the essential elements of drafting a POA
  • Establish an understanding of Statement of Wishes/Advanced Choice
  • Identify indicators of potential incapacity in clients and understand what steps to take if concerns arise
