In a world where client demands, deadlines, and billable targets constantly compete for your attention, time can feel like your most limited resource. Working longer hours may seem like the answer — but sustainable success in legal practice comes from working smarter, not harder.

This focused online workshop over two half-days will help you take proactive control of your time, manage competing priorities, and create space for the work that truly matters — whether that’s client service, business development, or your own wellbeing. You’ll gain practical tools and strategies to boost productivity, reduce stress, and achieve better results for both you and your clients.

By attending this course, you will learn how to:

  • Recognise the value of prioritisation and how it drives higher-quality results

  • Use a practical framework to analyse and focus your work effectively

  • Shift from reactive to proactive working patterns

  • Align your daily activities with your personal, team, and firm goals

  • Delegate efficiently and with confidence

  • Identify and tackle the time wasters that drain your productivity

  • Apply a toolkit of proven techniques to manage your time and priorities more effectively

This is an interactive, hands-on workshop, combining short theory sessions with practical exercises, discussion, and reflection. You will also receive access to Quiver Management’s Online Academy where you will be able to revisit all the models and techniques shared during the workshop.

Take a day to step back, refocus, and learn how to get more of the right things done — with less stress and greater impact.

Who is it for?

The Prioritisation and Time Management for Lawyers course is ideal for solicitors and legal professionals juggling competing priorities, demanding clients, and heavy workloads. It’s designed for those who want to take control of their time, enhance productivity, and create space for meaningful work — whether that’s delivering exceptional client service, driving business development, or improving personal wellbeing.

Session 1 - 4 February 2026, 9am to 12.30pm

Laying the Foundations for Personal Effectiveness

In this first session, participants will explore practical tools to manage their time and workload more strategically, shifting from reacting to daily demands to proactively planning for success. Through interactive discussions and exercises, you’ll gain clarity on what matters most in your role and how to structure your time around meaningful goals that drive results.

We will also cover:

  • Proven techniques for improving focus and productivity in a demanding legal environment

  • How to use the Time Management Matrix to distinguish between urgent and important work

  • Setting a clear professional vision and aligning daily actions to long-term goals

  • Strategies for moving from reactive to proactive working habits

  • Practical steps to manage competing priorities and create space for strategic thinking

Session 2 - 11 February 2026, 9am to 12.30pm

Putting It into Practice

In this second session, participants will turn insights into action with practical strategies for planning, delegation, and handling everyday time pressures in legal practice. You’ll build confidence in managing interruptions, setting boundaries, and maintaining habits that drive lasting personal and professional effectiveness.

We will also cover:

  • Techniques for taking control of your time and energy to focus on high-impact work

  • Practical planning and delegation tools to increase efficiency and accountability

  • Approaches for managing interruptions, saying “no” effectively, and reducing procrastination

  • How personal productivity contributes to stronger teamwork and firm-wide effectiveness

  • Developing an action plan to sustain focus, balance, and meaningful progress beyond the workshop
