The trust provides financial assistance to facilitate meeting necessary costs, expenses or outlays in relation to legal matters for which pro bono services are being supplied:
- to members of the public who are in need or unable to meet them or are suffering financial hardship; or
- to charitable institutions of limited means which support local communities or community organisations or activities; or
- where the trust is satisfied there is a public interest.
