Verifying the Smartcard digital signature

Applying a digital signature to a document is obviously not the same as putting pen to paper to finalise a transaction – it works differently, it looks different, it feels different. But digital signatures are playing an increasing role in conducting business and completing transactions within the legal profession. Since they are not as visible as wet signatures, members of the profession might want to scrutinise such a signature further.
