26th April 2018 | Professional support

Trains, planes and automobiles - and that’s just the start of the upcoming road trip featuring our president and our newest colleagues in the member services engagement team!

What we are up to?

Well, on Tuesday 1 May, Graham Matthews, Law Society President; Paul Mosson, Executive Director of Member Services; Katie McKenna, Head of High Street Engagement and Janet Rieu-Clarke, Accredited Paralegal Account Manager, are undertaking a three-day road trip to Inverness, Orkney, Shetland and Banff to visit our members.

Why we are doing it?

Our main aim is to meet with as many members of the legal profession as we can, in some of the most rural or remote locations in Scotland.

We understand that many of our members can’t just pop along to Edinburgh and see us for a chat, so we are going to them. We’re inviting all legal professionals including partners, solicitors, associates, trainees and, possibly for the first time ever, paralegals – whether you’re accredited with us or not.

With the support of your local faculty deans, we want to find out what we can do to make your professional lives easier, discuss local issues affecting you and keep you updated about regulatory changes and requirements which will affect you and your practice.

The events will be informal lunchtime and evening sessions and you will be provided with a cup of tea and a sandwich.

When and where can you join us?
