This intensive training has been designed to support new applicants through the competency-based selection process used when making judicial appointments.

You will receive practical advice on completing the application form and invaluable interview practice, as well as feedback on how to effectively incorporate and demonstrate your experiences and abilities throughout the selection process, helping you to make a positive impact.

Manjula Bray
Manjula Bray has gained significant experience as an ex-independent assessor with the National Assembly for Wales (under the Office for the Commissioner for Public appointments) and the Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) in England.


As a business psychologist and executive/career coach, Manjula’s work is focussed in the area of candidate assessment, assisting employers to select the right person for senior roles, and supporting individuals to achieve their best in their careers. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and an ex-HR practitioner.

Manjula has successfully supported and coached numerous individuals to judicial, quasi-judicial and public positions in Scotland, Wales and England. Working as an independent consultant she develops and delivers occupational/business psychology solutions (leadership and management development, executive coaching, psychometric testing and assessment/development centres) and has participated in positive action and CPD activities in partnership with the Law Society of England and Wales since 2009.
