Latest from the Scottish Paralegal Association
16th March 2020 | Paula Jones

Final preparations are underway for our annual conference on 23 April 2020 at the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow. Tickets are on sale at £85 (non-refundable) – see our website. Don't delay in securing your place as tickets are limited.

Our conference has grown in success each year and we are very proud to offer all our members a fantastic CPD event aimed at and promoting paralegals in Scotland. We have some great speakers attending this year, and of course the conference constitutes six hours of your verifiable CPD hours – plus a free lunch! Without the continuous support of our sponsors and members we would not be able to hold such an event: thank you. If however you are unable to join us on 23 April, never fear, as we will be holding a further conference in November in Dundee.

Applications for our Paralegal of the Year competition are available on our website. The closing date is 31 March 2020. The winner will be announced at an awards dinner in Glasgow on 8 May. We would like to thank Stewart Title for sponsoring the competition and all those taking a table.

Our AGM will be held on 18 April 2020 at the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow. If you wish to attend our AGM, please contact us direct via our website.

Keep an eye on our social media pages and our website for updates and CPD opportunities as well as new job vacancies.

And finally, for all newly qualified paralegals who are just starting their yearly CPD and are uncertain whether they are members of the Scottish Paralegal Association, first, welcome to the profession, and secondly, please contact our President, Sandra Reid, on president@scottish-paralegal.org.uk, or discuss your membership with the Law Society of Scotland who will be happy to assist in any queries you may have.
